Next up on the agenda, a trip to lower Manhattan to see former members of MTV's the State perform a little show they call 'Stella'. $10 Cover plus two drinks, at some place called 'Fez', whatever that is....I mean Goddamn! Comedy, booz, special guests...it's a virtual orgy of entertainment. Minus the ticketmaster 'rape in the ass' charge. Anyone interested?

Also, I got the new Beck album this past weekend. Not his best album, but I don't really agree with this guy on his review...Beck has released plenty of stripped down albums, I don't see any harm in letting Nigel work a little magic (like he did with Pavement's Terror Twilight and Radiohead's OK Computer). Not that I'm surprised, I rarely agree with Pitchfork reviews anyway. Mutations, another Godrich effort, is still his best album yet (among a number of other good albums of course). Too bad it was stolen from me in the 'Great CD Theft of 2001'. Lousy crooks.

All in all, Saturday was certainly a great night. Good beer, good friends, and the funniest two motherfuckers on the planet. Yes, there were some audio problems. 'Some' audio problems being every audio screw up you could imagine. But Bob and David just used the 'Opportunity-stakes' as a chance to make with the funny. Oh yes, and there were some seating problems as well (finding seats together for 13 people is not as easy as you would think). But holy crap on a stick was it worth the trip. Crap on a stick, indeed.

One of the advantages of working retardedly late (I don't care if 'retardedly' is not a word, it's accurate for how late I work) is buying really cool shit on the internet. I can add that to the wonderful piece of artwork I purchased at the Mr. Show Philly appearance on Saturday. "Oooh a talking stick!"
